Re-membering Osiris
In Remembrar a Osiris (2019) various materials and techniques reconstruct a greater whole in the form of a spatial, weightless and dynamic configuration. In the installation drawing, photography and sculpture articulate a unique, ancestral, life- generating language. In this piece the passage from one medium to another occurs extremely smoothly and simply, the transmutation of one material into another is constant: on the image plane, the photograph has been subtly intervened with a drawing like a copper plate engraving, displaying golden strokes and white dots. Its basic foundation is brass and is twisted and adapted to the drawing that emerged inside it. In this way, voluptuous organic shapes are created that protrude like golden extensions of the image. All this, in search of an idea of creation, considered to be a constant cycle, as a mutation and evolution that affects the physical or material state as well as the level of consciousness and evolution.
