Los Durmientes (2009) a site-specific installation set up in the crypt of the gallery, was created by collecting each day almost a thousand magnolia petals (magnolia grandiflora.) In this little shrine, imbued with the powerful scent of the flowers, the public walks around under a dome of petals; the swaying of the leaves captures the magic of the trees under whose vault we rest.
